NAS Performance Measurements Engineers Can Use and Consumers Will Understand
The Intel® NAS Performance Toolkit (Intel® NASPT) is a file system exerciser, and analysis tool designed to enable performance comparisons between network-attached storage (NAS) devices. Intel® NAS Performance Toolkit (Intel® NASPT) focuses on user-level performance using real-world workload traces gathered from typical digital home applications: HD video playback and record, data backup and restore utilities, office productivity applications, video rendering and content creation, and more. Intel® NAS Performance Toolkit (Intel® NASPT) reproduces the file system traffic observed in these traces onto whatever storage solution the user provides, records the system response, and reports a rich variety of performance information. The end result is readily comparable performance measurements that are useful to developers as well as intuitive and compelling to consumers.
While Intel® NAS Performance Toolkit (Intel® NASPT) runs on a Microsoft Windows XP* client, the target NAS device may run any operating system.
Intel® Nano Application Service (Intel® NAS) Performance Toolkit Features:
- Provides user-relevant performance measurements across a variety of storage devices
- Expresses results in an easy-to-understand format using compelling use cases
- Easy to learn and use
- Includes results analysis tool for deeper understanding of test results
