Meet EdgeRunner Athena. At Intel Vision 2025 in Las Vegas, customer EdgeRunner AI is demonstrating this state-of-the-art generative AI platform.
Developed for the military, the Athena technology provides defense and enterprise users a hyper-personalized assistant without the need for internet connectivity. Think of it as an on-device AI agent that uses natural language processing – it works just like you were talking to another person.
Leveraging Intel’s OpenVINO™ toolkit, EdgeRunner has optimized Athena for Intel’s latest processors, including Intel® Core™ Ultra 200V series processors.
Athena can send emails, create calendar invitations, send Slack messages and search the internet for real-time information using models running on-device for enhanced privacy. Athena is also capable of offline, localized retrieval-augmented generation of any document type. This lets users analyze confidential documents privately. Athena can also generate code, translate and transcribe conversations in real time and help users answer questions, summarize documents and generate ideas.
