Introducing the Aurora Supercomputer - Powered by Intel
Intel, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy, Argonne National Laboratory, and HPE is developing the Aurora Exascale supercomputer that will be housed at the Argonne National Laboratory. By accelerating the convergence of high performance computing and artificial intelligence, Exascale supercomputing will advance scientific research and enable breakthroughs in neuroscience and cancer research, aerospace modeling and simulation, and theoretical research of our universe. The Aurora system will be based on the next Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor (codename Sapphire Rapids), discreet Intel® Xe Architecture (codename Ponte Vecchio), DAOS, next Gen Intel® Optane™ persistent memory, all linked together with oneAPI software to deliver Exascale performance. Aurora is the next step to face the challenges we face today and into the future.
